Excellent I have two cats that are white and I have not found the same problems as the ones listed. This litter controls odor and does not track dust like other litter. Excellent product that I highly recommend.
Tracks and Struggles to Control Odor but No Dust! Our cat eats Blue Buffalo canned food and his litter box is in our living room. Perhaps needless to say it's imperative that we have a litter that controls odor but doesn't kick a bunch of dust or artificial perfumes into the air especially since the cat seems to favor using his box right before I'm ready to eat. We've been through a variety of litters none of which we were really satisfied with. When I heard BB was coming out with a litter I was eager to try. From the very first use it became obvious how obnoxiously this litter tracks. The pieces are so big and my cat is not only messy but RUNS! away from the litter box when he's done that the pieces are always all over the carpet but I'm willing to deal with that because I don't choke on litter dust for the next twenty minutes after he's been in there.
Fantastic find! After trying many litters and settling with Scoop away for yearsthey just changed their formula and the smell is horrendous. Therefore I started to look again for an alternative. I have 2 cats odor control is a must.Totally love this product. It's a fantastic find. It has NO DUST which is incredible. And even better is NO ODOR at all for days! I bought the clump one but it won't clump like an ordinary product though. The walnut will get saturated with liquid and kinda fall apart desintegrate. So the scooping is not so easy. But it's an easy compromise when dealing with no smell at all.
Worst. Litter. Ever. I usually use World's Best but when I went to buy new litter it was out of stock. I thought I would give this a shot.I will say that it controls odor very well. Cat odor that is. The litter itself smells like dirt. I sort of got used to it over time.That's all I can say about it that's good.It is VERY dusty. Like wearamasktoscoop dusty. And the dust is brown. There is a layer of brown on everything.Additionally it tracks everywhere. More so than the corn litter for some reason.Since my cats have white paws I can always tell when they've been in the box since they look like they're wearing brown kneesocks.In short I absolutely cannot recommend this litter.
Controls odor but is very messy I bought this cat litter after previously using Swheat Scoop litter in the past because it promised to be better at controlling odor. I will admit that the odor control of this litter is superior to the Swheat Scoop. However this litter has proven to be a cleaning nightmare. The dark walnut color has gotten all over my white tile floor and been tracked across my house including my bedding and my white sofa. I was told at the pet store when I purchased this litter that it was a low tracking low dust product don't be fooled it's simply a messy aggravation you don't need to add to your life.
Messy product The odorkilling aspect of this litter is fine and it has little dust. However it makes a large dark mess on the lightcolored carpet the litter box is on.Vacuuming has not been sufficient to get rid of the discoloration. I now will have to get out the rug shampoo. Once is enough for this purchase that I hadhad high hopes for.
Best one so far This is the best clumping nonclay based litter I have tried so far. It clumps faster and more important it is does a better job of reducing odor than sWheat. It is much more expensive than the nonclumping litters but it last much longer so is cheaper in the long run. I like that it is US made and 100% compostable.

Works I've used about 3 boxes of this brand and find it works well. I've had no problems it clumps well. Tracking isn't too bad and it does a great job at containing odors. That being said the scent of this litter is quite over powering. Although the scent itself isn't bad it might be a problem for those with a sensitive nose or are picky.I look forward to trying the unscented version if I can ever find it instore. I really do like the packaging of this brand. There is a pour spout at one edge that makes things a lot easier.Arm & Hammer is worth a try and tends to be cheaper than brands such as Tidy Cats.
Low tracking litter scoops easily Can't go wrong with Arm & Hammer clumping cat litter products if that is what you are seeking. This size box is a nice size and works great for multiple cat households. The product's smell is a bit strong initially but it works well to cover the scents associated with urine etc and it works great at masking those types of odors before you can scoop it. For the price offered on Amazon it is a good deal. Tracking for this is low although there will be some but that is to be expected with any smaller clumpingtype litter.
Great product! We use this litter for our ferrets and it is pretty good. It soaks up the odor from use of multiple ferrets. I guess the only problem I had was that the smell of the litter can be strong when you first use it.

Awful chemical smell This cat litter smells ok right out of the container but as soon as my cat actually uses the litter something about the combination of urine and whatever is in the litter produces an overpowering chemical smell that saturates the entire room. This smell is worse than plain cat urine if that's possible and I nearly threw up when I scooped the litter box. I immediately switched back to my other brand of cat litter catattract.
One of the worst I've usedbut maybe it's just my cats I have 2 14/12 year old cats who have always used a covered litter box and I've always lived with hardwood floors. This is the WORST tracking litter I have ever used. Most people are complaining about the smell which is kind of yucky but my biggest problem is there is litter all over my house. My dark hardwoods are covered I have to sweep/vacuum and mop several times per day. It's in the sofa it's even in my bed! GROSS! And I don't just mean a little dust or a few stray pieces. I mean their paws are completely coated with the stuff every time they exit the box. I also clean the box several times per day. I don't know what the problem is here but I'm revolted by this one. But like I said maybe it's somehow my cats because I don't see anyone else complaining about this.
TIDY CATS SMALL SPACES GETS THE JOB DONE I love this litter. It does a great job. There is not a strong scent and my cats love it. My litter boxes are in a small space and it helps a lot. Especially now that there is more than one kitten in the house.
Horrible smelling litter I agree that the cucumbermelon scent is horrible. It smells like rotting cantaloupe. It was in the back bathroom but the smell permeated the whole house especially after the litter was just used. I could barely go into the bathroom. I've used other Tidy Cat litters and they have been fine and I'm not sure exactly what variety this particular one was but the smell was really revolting. The cat litter smell would have been better. Honestly I've never smelled anything quite like it short of rotting garbage. It's like a chemical cantaloupe smell. It's coming out ASAP in favor of unscented litter or another type.In fact the smell was so bad that I took time out of my busy day to google Tidy Cat and melon to see if anyone else had had problems with it. As if I had nothing else to do. Really who has time to sit around Googling cat litter brands? That should tell you all that it was pretty bad.
Love this Litter! AllergyFriendly I absolutely love this litter. I have tried several different litters and none have been better for my multicat household 6 resident cats plus the occasional 1 I catsit. Not only does it clump great reduce odors quickly 99% dustfree but the scent is not overpowering. I have both asthma and allergies so this makes a huge difference for me. My guests are usually shocked that my house does not smell with the amount of cats I have.Just a Side note I just recently decided to be cheap and bought a huge carton of the Arm & Hammer Fresh Scent MultiCat litter and it was by far the worst litter I have ever tried. The scent was SO overpowering and dusty that I had to wear a mask to scoop out the litter boxes. You could smell the litter the minute you walked into my house. I definetly learned my lesson and switched back to Small Spaces! Wal Mart & Target have the best prices.
Warning! It's scented! As soon as I poured this stuff in the litterbox my nose was assaulted by a very strong perfumey odor. There was nothing on the outside of the package to indicate that this was scented litter. I called the company and was told that all their cat litter is scented with a cucumbermelon fragrance.My nasal pasages felt like they were burning so I ran right out and bought another brand.
Okay litter horrible scent I just adopted a new cat and this was the only litter available to buy in the shelter. Considering I live in a tiny apartment I figured this would be a good buy. It's not as good as it seemsPros* My cat seems to enjoy the feel of it on her paws* It does what it claims kitty waste is clumped up for easy removable with very little breakage.Cons* It tracks all over the house. Everywhere.* It's scented and it's not even scented WELL. It smells somewhat like a rotting orange especially when cat urine hits it. No amount of kitty digging seems to get rid of the smell.
Best thing ever! I was using Tidy cats immediate odor control in my bedroom which worked well to stop pet odors. However the litter itself stunk up my room so bad that I questioned the intelligence of bringing a cat into an apartment. Since I already love my new cat I couldn't take back my decision so I changed litter to this. It has a delightful smell that freshens my room and my cat barely noticed a change. It works well to keep his smells down too. I love this litter.

Junk The holes in this scoop are way too large they let everything through. I've tried using it multiple times and crap/sawdusty litter always falls through the holes. Also how does this thing cost $8.00 to ship?? What a ripoff. Stay away.
Put simply does not work. I do prefer the Feline Pine litter to the clay litters however it's been a real struggle looking for a scoop that works. This product was a nice idea in theory but in action does not work at all. The idea is to let the sawdust fall through without wasting the pine chips however the slots in this scoop are wide enough to let everything through. No bueno.
Works great with feline pine! I got this free cause of an offer on one of the bags but I would have paid for it if I had to. Works very well with the litter.
HOLES ARE TOO SMALL Holes are too small for feline pine to sift through the litter gets stuck in the holes!!A CHEAP ALTERNATIVE use a box cutter to cut out every other prong from the plastic litter scoop you already have. I have four scoops from the dollar store with every other plastic bit cut out and all of them work better than this scoop. I purchased this product because I thought it would look nicer or work better. I regret my vanity.If you want this product anyway check a pet store I only paid $4.
Disappointed I love using Feline Pine pellets for my three cats but hate wasting money on scoops with slots too narrow that the unused pellets cannot slip through. The Feline Pine scoop does not work for me as the pellets get stuck between the slots and I waste a lot of litter. I did see a litter organizer from Fresh Kitty that included a scoop with extra wide slots and bought it at Petco. You can also buy this online. This is the perfect scoop for my mulitple cat family that uses pellet type litter. I just wish I could find it at a local store again so that I can save on shipping charges. Petco has not had it in stock since my original purchase.
good This is a great sifter scoop for Feline Pine. I had a cheap scooper from the pet store and noticed that it collected feces on it and got all moldy and gross! This scoop does not do that and it sifts the unused pellets right back into your litter box. Feline Pine litter the official sifting box and this scoop are all really great. It's the best experience I've ever had dealing with a litter box! Plus it's much better for the environment my cat and my house! Cannot recommend Feline Pine stuff enough.

Use with Feline Pine I use this because it's basically the only one I've found that works with Feline Pine but be careful because it can break. Mine is broken a little but still usable. It is also annoying when you have to pick up very small pieces because you have to keep them at the very front of the scoop so they don't fall through and sometimes they do as I'm moving them. It is also not available at any retail store I've ever seen. If another wide slot scoop was available I might give it a try next time.
waste of money and pellets The price online was pretty low but S&H was so high. It all added up to more than $10 for tiny scoop. And it does not work for my kittens either practically everything falls thru including waste if middle part is used. or everything excluding dust from pellets stays in it . I ended up using corner of my old regular scoop. Product was useless for me.
Good for it's purpose if you must use feline pine. It works better than a normal scoop for sifting through the feline pine pellets but it does make it pretty difficult to pick up the smaller pieces of kitty poo causing me a lot of frustration and annoyance. Kind of the lesser of 2 evils to me.

Strong artificial scent This product has a strong artificial scent that permeated several rooms of our house. I personally found it nauseating. No one here liked the odor. In my opinion it was worse than a dirty cat box.I'll go back to my old standby of Arm&Hammer Unscented.If you like strong artificial scents you might not mind it.
Odor Be Gone Our newest addition a crazy with socalled crazy eyes meant some new purchases as well. Since I haven't owned a cat in years and have never owned one by myself I solicited some advice about products. I opted to go with Arm and Hammer Odor Alert because it has a friendly price and was a trusted name.It seemed interesting with crystal which turn colour when wet to alert you to the clumps hence the name Odor Alert. I haven't been knocked off my feet by this feature yet. Although the crystals are easy to identify they seem to be easily triggered. As we keep the litter box in the bathroom near the shower where moisture runs rampant I think the crystals tend to change colour because of that. In retrospect I should have thought about that when buying Arm and Hammer Odor Alert cat litter. But so should they when making it. Bathrooms are a popular place for litter boxes.My other beef with the colour changing crystals in this cat litter is that sometimes they don't alert you to clumps. Sometimes they are wet but don't clump. I think that this cat litter clumps decently so it's just an issue of the crystals turning colour prematurely. Needless to say I've never actually used the blue crystals to my advantage when scooping out the litter.Many people seem to be offended by the scent of this cat litter. I cannot say the Odor Alert is odorless but it doesn't phase me. It simply smells a little fruity or flowery like many cat litters and when mixed with the scent of cat matter it isn't wonderful but it won't kill me either. You can tell when a cat has used the potty because it 'increases' the scent. In the future I may try and odorless litter instead.I am happy to say that my kitty had no adverse reaction to Odor Alert cat litter by Arm and Hammer. We did buy a litter box mat because my cat does track some of the litter into the bathroom and when wet it sort of melts into the floor and takes a lot of scrubbing to get off.
It Stinks! We have been using Arm & Hammer MultiCat and other Arm & Hammer cat litters for years and we absolutely love them. However when we moved to NYC the only Arm & Hammer litter we found in nearby stores was the Odor Alert version which we had not tried before. We bought it and figured that it would be fine given our previous experience with the Arm & Hammer brand. However once we started using it we realized that it smells absolutely horrible. It is VERY odoriferous and honestly the one thing that comes to mind when I smell it is fruity vomit. The colorchanging technology doesn't appear to us to be anything impressive and certainly nothing to justify living with the smell. It clumps well and does the job but I will not be using it ever again due to the horrible odor.
Stay Away. I use Fresh Step clumping litter for my cat until we ran out one day and my wife picked up Arm and Hammer litter at convenience store. It does not clump nearly as well absorb odors nearly as well and costs much more than Fresh Step scoopable car litter. It's a day and night difference. Stay away from Arm and Hammer.
It alerts all right We've been trying new litters in our rolling boxes to find one that clumps well and controls odor without too much artificial scent as I am allergic to the heavy fragrances.We're never buying Odor Alert again. The entire box goes blue within one use. While there is no overpowering fragrance it's as if there is no odor control within the litter at all. Instead I get this nasty worse than full litter box stench that wafts up my stairs if the box is not cleaned twice a day and more clean litter added to the box. It is so bad I do not need to see the inside of the box in order to know it needs to be cleaned.We will continue on our quest to find a good litter. This one however is not it.

I have tried them all and this earns the title MOST HORRIBLE CAT LITTER.It's not only terrible on odor control it also clumps poorly is dusty clumps fall apart and its a nightmare to clean afterwards. I also heard from a vet post purchase that its bad for your cats who can either breath in the unhealthy dust it is dusty or suffer horribly if the swallow even a small amount due to self cleaning. Bad for my cats and bad for me. DOUBLE BLECH!Back to Feline Pine and World's Best either of which are better than this garbage.
excellent litter After using regular storebought litter for years and having difficulty in keeping the smell down we tried this. I am amazed and very pleased at how well it controls the smell how well it clumps in solid chunks and how dustfee it is.It is not the fault of the manufacture of the litter but of the shipper. We ordered four 18lb bags and they were shipping in the most ridiculous way. They came in two huge boxes taken up mostly by yards of packing material. The boxes were torn and in poor condition. These small bags should have been shipped in smaller more sturdy cartons. Total waste of material and our time in disposing of all the boxes and packing material.These came from a vender called Wag. I'd definitely advise not ordering from them.

I am just a crazy cat lady that has a loving husband that is a just as crazy about them as I. I have noticed in our other cats that they ALL have some sort of coughing or wheezing going on!! Now I know why!!!So there were several litters out there that were just soso. Then I came across this onewhen I was almost ready to give up! I swear it just popped onto the screen and I thought oh what's this one?? Cats do NOT like perfumey smells in their litter. I have tried every cat litter I mean everything from natural pine to sheets scoop to tidy cat worlds best crystALs and beyond.here are my issues .. muddyness tracking smell.while most litters will accomplish one or two of those tasks usuAlly the third is unusually lacking.I purchased this litter after a nightlong search on forums again for the best cat litter and gave this a shot.the item was shipped quickly and free I'm sorry but amazon prime definitely beats lugging a bag of litter through the petsmart into the car and into the house!the texture is similar to tidy cats but has less of a smell actually it has very little fragrance. My favorite attribute to this litter Is the particle size being more consistent which meant less dust on their fuzzy coats and less tracking on my bathroom floor. My second favorite attribute is the clumping. Now all cat litter can clump but this stuff isolates the issue clumps and doesn't require a full litter change or a jackhammer to clean out. So many litters fall apart while scooping which turns into a muddy mess or they are so hard you have to take half the litter box with you to get it out. This stuff seems to cut right down the middle.the cats don't seem to have as many clingons when they walk out and they have a poop nugget stuck to their fur as usual I'm not sure why but I'm not complaining .overall it seems this litter with a dash of the scented baking soda the one made for litter boxes after scooping Results in a clean less tracked litter that is pretty easy to clean. Plus I love having my delivery guy worry about it and it just shows up at my door.
Did a side by side comparison I have 7 cats. Not long ago I went on a mission to find the best cat litter I could get my hands on. Based on high recommendations I bought a large bag of this and a large bag of Ever Clean Litter. I had two boxes going side by side to compare the two. This litter did clump decently but not as well as Ever Clean. The real difference was in one quality that is my biggest issue with cat litter tracking and scattering. This cat litter failed miserably in that regard when compared to the Ever Clean in the box next door to it. It was all over the place. Now each cat owner's circumstances and litter management system will affect how well a litter performs so let me explain our set up. We have 7 cats as I mentioned. We use the Litter Robot litter boxes. They are large globes that rotate after each use tumbling and sifting the cat litter before dumping clumps into a large drawer under the globe. Solid clumping is essential for this system to be optimally effective. We did see more crumbled clumps with this litter but not enough for that to be a deal breaker in and of itself. The crumbling of some clumps and the dispersal of the crumbs throughout the litter did contribute to the premature failure of the odor controlling capacity although this litter did control odor better when fresh out of the bag. The Ever Clean was able to control odor longer if not as well as Precious Cat from the gitgo.
The best I've found I have two kitties who have had problems in the past with allergies related to litter. One gets a rash I find a new litter she clears up then the other one starts to have problems. We've been on a seemingly endless cycle of different litters for years not to mention antihistamines for the kitties allergies.My search is at an end. This stuff is working great and so far after 6 weeks of use neither of the kitties is showing any signs of allergies.It is dustfree seriously I see NO dust at all when I pour it into the box it clumps better than any other brand I've used and it definitely reduces odors without covering them up with some other odor.
Clumping Disaster I don't know where all of the rave reviews are coming from. I bought this because my cat sitter suggested it. It may do a lot of things well but job 1 for me with a clumping cat litter is clumping. When this stuff gets wet it turns into supper glue at the bottom of the litter pan. It can't handle even modest amounts of liquid waste without oversaturating. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
No more sneezing! While the 40 lb. bag of Dr. Elsey's is a better bargain I prefer the 18 lb. bags as they are easier to lift and carry. I've been using this for awhile and forgot how dusty and heavily scented the Tidy Cats was when I recently ran out of Dr. Elsey's and bought Tidy Cats instead the sneezing started up again.PROSHardly any dust I stopped sneezing as well as my cats.Firm clumps that don't break apart when the cats are digging and burying their treasures.As inexpensive as storebrand litter since I buy it locally with no shipping.Easy to vacuum out of the carpeting.CON The 40 lb. bag is heavy and cumbersome. The 18 lb. bag is much easier to handle but costlier. When I get it home I pour it into a 5 gallon plastic bucket making it easier to handle.This would be perfect if it came in a jug and not a bag but it's still worthy of 5 stars.

It has a bit of a piney smell which some cats can object to so I mix this about half and half with Terrible smell This product gets three stars for its clumping ability and because it is dustfree but the stench kept it from getting a higher ranking. I'm not sure what chemicals Arm & Hammer used but the smell is overpowering. Just opening the bag is enough to knock a person out. The natural smell of other litters is a lot better. I'd rather my house smell like wood chips than this chemical. Not just for cats I have 2 rabbits that are boxed trained. It's light weight and the smell is either peppermint or eucalyptus and it's not overwhelming at all. Doesn't bother them or me. Besides that it doesn't smell up the place either it's more likely you'll smell it when you first take it from the bag. Better than dust or the alternative. Rabbit urine is thicker than cats I have never smelled it since working with this litter. I do clean their boxes daily but there's little hassle in that. Here's something consider you can always take the used litter back to the store if you absolutely hate it. For us we use every bit of it so consider giving it a shot. Kitty likes it My cat has tried several litters. Sometimes he flings pieces of litter everywhere sometimes he sneezes a lot and sometimes he doesn't use the litter box at all. However will this litter I haven't had any problems. My cat likes it and so do I. It's a nice nonclay clumping litter with a pleasant smell. The cleanest way to take care of the cat litter I have tried many different ways to clean the cat pan and this for me is the least messy and most convenient way to clean it. I mention this because the difference might cause your cat to resist using the litter box too. Yes we had a couple of messes but I stuck with it and they're totally fine with it now.That said this stuff really does suppress odors. I usually try to scoop the box at least once a day but I do sometimes let it sit overnight. With my old litter I would start to get a whiff of the odor the next morning not so with this stuff.It's more expensive but it might be worth it in the long run. My cats have had allergy problems in the past with clay litters including unscented and even some allnatural nonclay litters. So far I've seen no signs of the usual allergy issues with this stuff. That alone will make this worth the expense. This is THE BEST cat litter We have tried everything from clay to pine to crystal litter. This is simply THE BEST and provides for TOTAL and COMPLETE odor control. We were reluctant to try it but now we are hooked. What an awesome product! Trust my recommendation as someone who breeds and sells cats! It is the BEST on the market PERIOD! And it is so lightweight. Exact Opposite of What it Claims This litter was horribly dusty. It tracked worse than any litter I have ever used. I would find it EVERYWHERE. It provides no odor control. It smelled so good when I opened it but that didn't last.
