  • Don't buy this I have had these in the past and have had good luck with them. Now they are obviously made cheaper and don't work from the start. I have tried everything to get statisfaction from the company but I can't give them enough numbers off the #%** thing. Everytime I call the person I get wants another set of numbers. They are hard to read and located everywhere. I bought a large deluxe model and a small one. They have never worked.
Save your money Poor build quality and design. Sensors and track get dirty and the rake runs back and forth repeatedly freaking the cats out. Used it for several weeks and abandoned it in favor of the trusted plastic scooper.
Just what we needed We needed something that could make a clean spot for our furry friends more often than we could as they were not happy with our onceaday cleanout. This works great. The only bad thing is the design of the receptable cover. Bending back the bumps doesn't always work too well and the filters never I mean never stick. However the rest works just great and we are happy with it.
good if you have a small cat works well. not very good if you have a large cat. tho my medium size cat makes do with its smallish size. we'll never go back to the old litter box. this is what we use in both our main home and our country house. both our children use them also.
Ours lasted 9 years! Ours lasted 9 years. Little music players with no moving parts don't even last that long these days! On our unit now the sensor seems to no longer work to tell the unit when to scoop. The unit will still scoop when we turn it on and off. This just happened this week. For the price and having it last 9 years I have no complaints. Our cat has loved it. We will be buying another one. If you want to save on the receptacles it's easy to cover them with a small trash bag.
Good Product I had one of these several years ago and recently replaced it with a new one. It is true that the product quality has declined in recent years. The rake does not reach the bottom of the box any longer the motor is weaker. Chalk it up to the old they don't build 'em they way they used to which is true of many products these days. However this is still WAY better than a traditional box and after much research I decided that this automatic box with the modification mentioned below is the lowestmaintenence option available.Be aware you will have to check it every 12 days to scrape any hardened litter from the bottom scoop any missed bits knock bits off the rake if needed add more litter and spread the litter evenly. This is NOT a complete litter change it will take 23 minutes and is much less work than manually scooping/cleaning a traditional box.
Waste of money Difficult to assemble and immediately broke. The little wheel on the side came off and then the machine jammed. Waste of money.
Works ok I bought this in 2004. it was one of the first brands to make auto litter boxes. I had it in the corridor & plugged in and it did serve me well for 2 years that I had my cat. It scoops the litter ok and dumps it in the compartments that seal hermetically and dont smell. I used to overdo it a bit though and the poor machine would dump cat wastes over and over for whole week before I get to clean it due to my busy schedule. But when I had to clean it it was like WWII chemical attach because of the entire compartment being filled with poops and pee balls.
bad sensors I bought my unit in November 2008. Now January 2010 and the sensors are not working. Littermaid will do NOTHING because unit is out of warranty. Out of warranty by a couple of months. Give me a break. I paid around $100 for the unit and now it is no better than a regular cat box.
It makes my life less stinky! Although there are several flaws in the design that have hopefully been fixed in the newer models.although it does still require SOME maintenance..I do like my litter box. It is nice to walk in the door after work and not smell cat poop. And I don't have to leave a second box out if I leave town for a couple of days.I have two cats and I dump the poop/pee tray twice a week. Once every day or two I rake the litter around because my cats tend to push it all over to one side of the box. Yes you have to sweep or vacuum around the box. Yes sometimes a little turd gets stuck in or behind the rake. I guess I just don't see that as a big deal.

Feline Pine Original Litter 10 2 Pound OVERPRICED HORSE BEDDING.

Feline Pine Original Cat Litter, 10.2-Pound Bag
Feline Pine Original Cat Litter, 10.2-Pound Bag Read more...

  • Chemical free and safe for your cat
  • Designed for multiple cat homes
  • Nett weight 10.2 pounds per bag
  • No dust and no tracking
  • Neutralizes odor naturally

  • Useless Picked up a bag of this on recommendation from the lady at our neighborhood pet store. This litter consists of large sawdust pellets that are too big to fall through the scooper and as soon as they get wet they disintegrate into damp sawdust that smells rather piny and neutral but is impossible to scoop because it doesn't clump whatsoever. This is the opposite of how I want my litter to act. The dirty stuff falls through the scoop while the clean stuff gets stuck in it?I don't think my cats like the damp sawdust either. They ended up peeing on their bed even though this litter was clean.I'll be going back to my nicesmelling cornbased litter that actually acts like proper litter.
Bad product. I bought this because it is a green product. However it was more trouble then it worth. It's hard to scoop needs frequent changing it tracks worse around the house and it does nothing to control the cat smell issue.
Works for me combined with a clumping litter After much trialanderror with natural litters I found that Feline Pine doesn't work at all for my cats by itself. However I've been using it in combination with a natural clumping litter for a couple of months now and it has been satisfactory though I'm not really sure if the Feline Pine is much of an improvement over the clumping litter alone. When my experiment with World's Best Cat Litter utterly failed on all counts hated the smell clumping was terrible cats didn't like it I moved on to Nature's Miracle clumping cornbased litter but it tracked everywhere in the house. Since the cats adapted well to a complete changeover from WBCL to NM without problems I started a brand new box with Feline Pine alone. That was a mistake. My cats were utterly confused by the texture resulting in one refusing to use the box entirely. The other cat went in the box but didn't cover her mess. So I dumped the box and started again with 1 of Feline Pine on the bottom and 2 of Nature's Miracle on the top as the Feline Pine bag suggests. The cats gradually mix it up as they dig and what doesn't get clumped up in the Nature's Miracle gets absorbed by the Feline Pine so it seems to be a good combination for odor control though my husband says he can smell it. I end up scooping 1x to 2x a day and top off the box with the Nature's Miracle so there's always a good 23 of litter at all times. After two weeks which is about when all of the Feline Pine pellets have dissolved into sawdust I dump the box scrub and sanitize it and start over.To be honest I'm not sure that the odor control or tracking is any better with the combination of the two litters than with Nature's Miracle alone.
OVERPRICED HORSE BEDDING. This is the same exact thing as horse bedding. From a feed shop you can get a 3040 lb bag of wood pellets aka Feline Pine for 7 dollars.
Use it right & this stuff rocks! Feline Pine Original disintegrating pellets is best used with a sifting sandbox 2 piece [] The VanNess brand seems to have holes too big which let Feline Pine pellets through. It may be designed for sifting out poops. The bottom piece is a standard litter pan. The top piece has a sort of gratelike bottom which allows the used/disintegrated sawdust to filter through into the solid bottom box where it collects away from the fresh litter and kitty's paws. When liquid does go straight through it is absorbed by the sawdust underneath and can be scooped out to further eliminate odor I use a plastic spoon. After a bit of maintenance tedium through the change from another style of litter my cat is happy & healthy there is no litterbox odor and we have nothing to do with the stripmining & landfilling of traditional clay litter.
Best Cat Litter! I have two cats so I really needed a litter that would control odor and I wanted something safe for my kitties and the environment. Feline Pine is the BEST litter I could find by far. Even if you are not interested in being environmentally friendly this is a great litter. It took a little while for one of my cats to get used to it. At first I switched them completely over and one of my kitties started going outside the box. I went back to the old litter and started gradually mixing the pellets in for about two weeks. Now both my cats use only the Feline Pine without any problems. It completely masks the smell of urine and is pretty good at masking the smell of poop. It lasts awhile too since you really only have to scoop the solid waste until the pellets turn to sawdust.I had previously tried Nature's Miracle and World's Best Cat Litter. Neither of them dealt well with odor. Nature's miracle clumped nicely but it smelled soo bad! It stunk up our whole house. The WBCL had a slightly less offensive smell but the clumping capabilities were not as good as NM. Feline Pine doesn't clump but it doesn't need to since you don't scoop out the urine. With some litters like WBCL urine seeps to the bottom of the pan and creates a sticky smelly residue but with Feline Pine the urine doesn't even get to the bottom of the pan since it is absorbed immediately by the pellets. It's just a really great litter and it's not as expensive as a lot of other natural brands.
Feline Pine Cat liter When I could not find this product in the grocery stores I was glad to find that Amazon.com had it available. I recently stocked up on this brand of liter. I find this product suits me well and my cat does not have any problem with it as well. This product does not have a bad smell is easy to clean up. I know where to get my supply if I need more. Thank you Aamzon.
Cat Litter I love this stuff. It works so well and is so much better for the environment than traditional litters. It even helps with smells naturally.
Amazing product! This is by far the best cat litter! My 18 week old cat loves it. I originally selected this litter because it was nonclumping. Sheba is learning to use the Litter Kwitter toilet training system which requires nonclumping litter. She will not kick this litter out of the toilet tray and there is absolutely no smell associated with the pellets. It's great! I highly suggest it to anyone using the toilet training systems as well.
Good Idea. This product is a good idea but unfortunately it did not work out well for myself or my cats. I take in feral kittens and I love our planet so I was trying to do a 2 for 1 with this litter. Figured these cats would like to do their business on something more 'Earthy' since that is what they would be used to. Wrong. They used it once. It smelled and they never used it again. Pellets cannot be 'reused' like carbon litter can. Once these get pee'd on its all over seems like it would get expensive and smell after a while.I really really wanted to like this I really wanted to use it but I just could not. I give it 3 stars cuz it least it is a good idea and if I run out of litter I will use whats left in my closet.

Healthy Pet Dust Free Cat Litter Does not contain smell, my cat tracks it more than regular cat litter

Healthy Pet Dust-Free Cat Litter - 12 lb
  • 12-lb bag
  • I love this litter. I have 7 cats and have tried EVERY litter out there. I had been using Feline Pine and as much as I loved it it did turn to saw dust after being used and was tracked everywhere. So I tried this and loved it. It isn't really advertised as a clumping litter so I don't bother and just toss it when it's time. My main concern was the tracking factor and I was very happy with how this worked. It is much MUCH less than any other litter I have ever used. It is easily swept up and doesn't go far beyond their box once they jump out. I find it controls odor as well as any other I've used. I change them very often though. My cats took to it right away and don't have cement booties like they used to with the traditional clumping litter which I hate.
Let me introduce you to my litter friend! This is the BEST litter I've found for several reasons and I've tried most of them!1 It doesn't track everywhere!!!! This is the only litter I've encountered that can be completely easily and quickly swept up. Unlike granules of sandy litter the pieces you see are the ONLY pieces that have made their way out of the box so it is possible to actually capture every last piece of errant litter. And if you do happen to step on a piece it doesn't feel like you've impaled your foot on a shard of broken glass which is the case with silica/pearl litter our cat rejected 2 kinds of pearl litter.2 Our previously problematic cat uses it Why would I use a pearl litter when I can use Mom and Dad's bed?!! Conan 1.5 yrs old who at one point used Cat/Kitten Attract litter exclusively because he failed to adapt to so many other kinds took to it without any problem. I mixed it with his old litter at first Tidy Cat but the next batch o' fresh litter was all DustFree Fiber.3 It's lightweight. Last night was the first time I did a complete box cleaning with this product and pouring the entire contents of the box into a trash bag was MUCH easier than with traditional litter I didn't wind up with the backache that usually accompanies this activityalways a plus!.
Cat with Diarrhea About two weeks ago I adopted from the Humane Society a 7monthold Manx who has issues with diarrhea. He's been to the vet and is now under treatment for a bacterial infection so hopefully the runny poop will clearup in the next week or so. The kitty uses his litter box religiously but is so intent in covering every drop of the runny poop that he throws clean and soiled litter everywhere and tracks small pieces of it into the tub shower and all over the floor which at one point forced me to clean a large bathroom three times in a 36hour period we are talking about a wipe down and mopping with bleach and water and then a rinse. I tried cornbased litters in his box I like to use these in an electronic litter box that I have for the other indoor cat and crystal litters one of my favorite litters. The corn litter was extensively tracked by the cat and further tracked by me to other areas of the house when I left the bathroom creating a new job of daily vacuuming. The crystal litter decreased the tracking but with the cat's extreme covering techniques in a covered litter box the silicon litter was dusty and I worried about it getting into his lungs and into mine as I scooped. Then I tried the Healthy Pet litter. What a wonderful solution!1 The litter adheres and clumps around the runny poop which has decreased the time the cat spends trying to cover it2 The litter absorbs the poop odor quite well and the urine. However I am scooping and changing the litter once a day or more to help prevent the cat from being reinfected by his litter i.e. I don't know how long the odor control and urine absorption would last under other conditions.3 The litter tracking also decreased. To decrease the tracking further I have started using an old litter box I made several years ago out of a plastic storage container about 15 high 18 long with a round hole cut out of the lid for entrance and exit. This has cut the litter tracking down to almost nothing.4 As noted by another reviewer what little litter is tracked is easy to spot and sweep up due to its larger size and so far none of it appears soiled which has cut down on cleaning the bathroom!5 I have detected little dust with the litter.
Does not contain smell my cat tracks it more than regular cat litter Based on the glowing reviews of this product I thought it would be a great litter to try. Unfortunately it just does not contain the smell at all the instant my cat relieves herself it's game over.I also thought that this would track less it tracks everywhere! My dog also thinks these litter granules are snacks so it's tough to keep them away from the dog without sweeping every five seconds. The one bonus is that the fiber is MUCH lighter than traditional cat litter so it's easy to carry the bag and there's more litter than you'd expect in a 12 lb bag.
Dust free??? Are you kidding me? I will never buy again. In my search for less dust in litter I came across this brand. Horrible!!! More dust than any other I have tried the cats tracked it all over they didn't like it at all and you couldn't scoop it without taking half the litter with you.
Healthy Litter I'm very particular about the products I use with my cats especially since one is asthmatic. Of all the litters on the market this is the one we will probably stick with for now. Clay grain pine and silica litter all have extreme downsides for cat health as well as for the human scooping it paper is the least toxic option available. Because of the color of this litter its not as hard to distinquish used vs. unused litter as something like Yesterdays News so its easier to maintain and control odors. I don't notice much of an odor with this litter. The only thing I don't like is that it tracks everywhere I have a tiny apartment and find myself vacuuming litter from the whole apartment every day.
If you have a ferretget this! I can't give this stuff a high enough complimentalmost no dust at all no small granules keeps urine odor down but doesn't become to caked.
excellent This produst was delivered on time and packaged very well. The Dust Free litter is everything that they said it would be my cats seem to be using it with out a problem. I wish this product was sold near me because the shipping cost is as much as the product cost. But that is the only issue I have with the product.

12-lb bag. Healthy Pet Dust Free Fiber Cat Litter is pure cellulose cat litter. It absorbs 2 times its weight in odor causing liquids and is fortified with odor shield for maximum ammonia control. Completely free of crystalline silica dust.
