Fresh Step Extreme Scoopable Clumping Heavily scented and super dusty
Best Litter Yet! This is the best litter I have ever bought. Normally I would never write a review about cat litter but this does the trick especially with four indoor cats! It does have a smellwhich resembles men's cologne but you only notice it when your face is in the litter box while you are scooping. I would much rather THAT smell than the urine and feces odor. Give it a try you might just come to like it.
Will stick to cat's paws and track around the house I always buy one version of Fresh Step or the other. This particular one smells too strong like really cheap men's cologne and every day I find mud like tracks all over my hardwood floors. This litter must not absorb as quickly or as well and ends up forming a clay like substance that the cat then proceeds to track throughout the house. Yuck. Going back to the store to pick up a different type before this one even runs out.
This litter smells horrible! How ironic is it that Extreme Odor Control litter actually has its own HORRIBLE scent? I have 3 cats and had high hopes for this product but will never buy it again. My mom also bought it for her cats and said the same thing about it. We will both stick with the original Fresh Step Scoop.

Horrible for cat's paws!!!!!! I agree with the other reviewsthis litter's fragrance is far too strong. However the worst problem is that the litter clumps can attach to your cat's paws. I discovered that my poor cat had clumps the size of peas which were in between the pads of all of his paws. You can imagine that trying to get these off his paws was a horrible timeconsuming experience for both of us!I can't imagine that this product would be good for cats to ingest. That's exactly what instinct tells them to do to clean themselves. If we can't stand the strong scent then imagine licking clumps of this litter! No wonder he was throwing up!This is the first bad experience I've ever had with a cat litter product. Do not buy this product. You'll end up cleaning your hardwood floors your cat's paws and inhaling and smelling this strong strong scent.

I have a single 5 month old kitten so I figured extreme odor control would be more than adequate.First this litter is incredibly dusty. I use a hooded litter pan and my cat comes out covered in dust and with the dust comes an odd perfume smell that is added to this litter. There is no way around it your cat will be covered in dust and smell exactly like this product.

IT'S THE CAT'S MEOW Was using another litter product from Amazon that I and my 3 little scamps were quite satisfied. Read reviews on this product that were very positive and noticed the great price along with free shipping. HAD TO GIVE IT A SHOT! Happy that I did. It works just as well as the one that is double the price. There is some scattering but it is minimal.
No so Low Track as listed I am always searching for dust free or as close as possible litter. This litter rates higher than others I have tired. It is very fine like sand. I think my cats used it the same as the other litter I tried before which was much chunkier but I don't really know which they like best. I would say this is about 90 percent dust free. It does track more than I would likehowever it is easier on the cats' paws because it is so fineit is a catch 22. Their comfort over mine I suppose.
Best Clumping Litter I have tried many cat litters over the past 30 years this one is the best in my opinion. It clumps well and does not turn into a sticky paste on litter box walls. Plus it is half the price of the litter Dr. Elsey's Premium Litter I had been using prior to this one. No perfumes and my five cats love it. You can buy in 20 lb bags if the 40 lb weight is too much to handle. It also ships via Prime Membership.
Best Litter I have three cats and have used ever litter in the world including world's best cat litter biodegradable litter baking soda litter etc. This brand is hands down the best so far. I highly recommend it for homes w/ multiple cats as it is effective in clumping and not smelling. My cats have the Litter Robot and this litter never causes any problems.
Easy cleanup and not smelly It clumps up like mud which is easy to remove from the box with a trowel and scoop. The remaining litter doesn't get smelly. I'll reorder this for sure.

My new favorite!! I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes. It clumped hard making the chore of cleaning the cat box a relatively easy one. Sometime around 6 months ago that all changed. Now it forms a sludge in the cat box that is nearly impossible to scrape out. The amount of effort necessary to clean the box could easily induce a muscle strain or hernia for those unfortunate enough to purchase this litter. Interestingly after having this experience twice because I thought maybe I just got a bad batch the first time I turned to Scoop Away which I always considered to be a similarly good product only to find the exact same thing. What the heck? Turns out both products are made by the Clorox Pet products Co.
No More Dreading the Litter Box I LOVE LOVE this litter. I've tried several types including the crystals and they all got stinky too quickly for me and for their price tags. I tried this one because it claims to control odor and that it does! It does have a pungent perfumeycologney scent to it but I'll gladly sniff that over kitty clumps. I do clean the box everytime she uses it but I don't have to change the litter until I just plain want to. Another bonus is the almost odorless waste that I scoop out. The litter clings to it and masks the odor quite a bit which I appreciate. Kitty doesn't mind using it and it didn't take her any time to make the switch. Four stars instead of five for the dusty clouds that balloon up everytime I run the scoop through but I just stand updraft.

Also after 23 days of the new litter my kitten started having a runny nose and teary eyes both of which cleared up when I switched back.Second being this is my first foray into clumping litter I'm not sure if I can blame this on the cat or the litter but no matter how hard I tried there would still be micro clumps all around the box after scooping.Third it did a poor job at odor control. We're in the process of figuring out what is giving our kitten diarrhea so a litter with strong odor control is crucial. It would stink for about 2 hours after he poops and not just near the litter box but the entire room the box is in. For extreme odor control it does a pretty poor job. We don't have an issue with odor with the non clumping oddly enough.All in all I can't recommend it there has to be a better clumping litter out there. Give non clumping a try.
Way too chalky and dusty! Very unpleasant smell and so chalky I could barely be in the room where the litter was.
Good stuff This is really good stuff. I put out two litter boxes and let the cats choose their favorite. This stuff won no problem over a noname brand. No odor clumps well. Cats don't seem to mind the scent.

Awesome litter I have a cat with mild asthma and look for a litter to help reduce triggers but that also doesn't drive me crazy.This is by far and away the best1. Low dust even when pouring the bag out there is very little dust in the air and it settles quickly.2. Low track the small mat I have outside the litter box grabs everything and what is there is very limited.3. Easy to scoop I have one cat and easy to scoop is a big requirement I like being in and out of there fast.4.
Not a bad product just not as good as I'd hoped. This stuff does clump hard I'll give it that. But the end result is that it clings to the litter box like a spurned lover. Dust control is good but to be honest it's about the same as most of the highend clays I've tried. Odor control is average which means that if you get the solids out of the box in a reasonable amount of time you don't need a gas mask to go about your business. Tracking? About the same as any other. In short it's as good as most other highend clay litters but not nearly as good as I'd hoped based on the reviews here.Look I always take naysayers with a grain of salt so feel free to do so with my review and try the litter yourself it's not like you're buying a car or a dishwasher. But you need to ask yourself if you really need to be spending half again to twice again as much for this stuff as litters that are just as good.

Possibly the best cat litter ever This litter aside from being easily biodegradable does an excellent job of controlling the ammonia odor of cat urine for an extremely long period of time. It covers cat feces well and clumps the urine moderately. Unfortunately this litter has become almost impossible to find locally causing me to resort to online purchases. Despite its expense this litter is worth the cost and is probably not as expensive as it seems due to its longevity. In my opinion formed during 40 years of training by cats indoor and outdoor this IS the best cat litter I have ever purchased.
Not a very good litter there are much better natural litters I bought this from the store thinking oh wow it's nice sand texture cats love and natural/biodegradable. However I had many problems with this litter. It's severely dusty you can move just the tiniest bit and dust is everywhere. It does not clump well at all. I had wet litter chunks all over the place. It's very much the texture of soft sand however it's too soft so my cats ended up urinating on their feet from not being able to balance themselves on it. they are not sick they are very healthy have been to the vet. I decided to switch to Fresh Step Natural Scoop pine litter and it's much better. The Arm & Hammer Essentials Corn litter is ok but it does not clump as good and does not control feces odor but it's dust free and nice texture for cat paws but does track.

No Stinky Kitty Smell Twentyone pounds of this kitty litter lasts ten changes or ten weeks. That's a fairly long time. The clumping action is no joke. It keeps the clumps together making cleanup easy. Arm & Hammer's baking soda also keeps the smell nonexistent which is the most important thing.
Quality Down the Drain If I would discuss this product a year ago I would say I love it. I didn't want to go to amazon to write this but I've been looking everywhere for a place to tell the company that this product is not as good as it once was. I cannot find the company site anywhere! Just plenty of ads It clumps more like wet sand then it ever has. The problem is that it don't stay clumped and the litter box is just as hard to clean as if I were using sand.
Does not stink up the house with perfumes. However We've tried several of the scented types of litter and the scent is way too strong for us and our cat. We can't stand the smell of the perfume and neither can the cat. She does her business in it but doesn't stay in the box to cover it up cause of the strong scent. So we tried the unscented and while it does not stink up the house with the scent it doesn't mask the smell of the feces all that well either. It's way better than the scented but needs some of the scented mixed in with it. We're going to try to mix about 1/4 scented with 3/4 unscented and play with the mix until we get it. When we do I'll repost. I think that's the best way to do it.
fragrance free no more i have used arm and hammer super scoop FRAGRANCE FREE clumping cat litter happily for several years. it is NO LONGER REALLY FRAGRANCE FREE and emits some chemical fumes. they are so determined to mask cat elimination odors that they have sacrificed the unscented feature i needed.
Super litter! I have 2 cats 1 litterbox and have to scoop every day as both cats drink a lot of water. Have tried MANY different brands/types of litter over 14 years and the Arm & Hammer unscented Super Scoop works best for us. I use a deep layer 34 inches as I don't want the urine to go all the way down and stick to the bottom of the box. The lumps really stick together tightly without urinesoaked litter dribbling back into the box.
THE BEST cat litter Super Scoop is the best cat litter you can get. It covers up odors and clumps very well. The clumping is better than any other cat litter I've seen. Since we have 2 cats and one litter box I know I know but we live in an apartment we thought that we'd try the A&H MultiCat but the clumps fell apart and odors weren't masked as well.The Fragrance Free variety is better IMO Fresh Scent has a chemically smell that doesn't mix well with cat waste.
Best Litter Made Both my cat and I love this litter. It has NO horrible fake scent thos can give me migraines! just simple. It clumps wonderfully and it makes it so easy to scoop out the urine clumps and poop everything is covered in the litter.
Not A Good Clumper I bought this because I like the idea of an unscented litter. But I'd rather deal with the perfume than the sandy mess this leaves in the box.When compared to other products I've used this litter doesn't clump hard enough to prevent significant breakage when scooping. My two cats tend to use one corner of their box so there's often a good sized clump to deal with at the end of the day. Rather than lifting out in one or two big blocks however it crumbles into small pieces that get lost in the litter and the box ends up smelling a week or two sooner than it did with other brands. I will not buy this again.
Arm & Hammer Super Scoop I recently got a kitten and decided that for the first couple of months he will stay indoors which meant that I had to buy litter for him. The first one I purchased don't remember the brand name wasn't all that great. It didn't clump that well and it didn't get rid of the odor. Then I tried Arm & Hammer Super Scoop and it totally worked for me. It clumps very well and it's easy to clean upit also gets rid of the odor.My kitten just loves it and so do I.
EXCELLENT Litter This is the second litter brand I have bought and I must say it is phenomenally better than the last litter I bought Nature's Miracle.When it says it clumps hard it clumps hard. The clumps are as hard as rocks I haven't tried to break them intentionally though. The odor control is as good as Nature's Miracle if not slightly better. Urine odors are completely covered up but feces still emit a bit of odor in closed spaces.The litter has the consistency of sand so it sifts very easily in my rollaway litter box.

A lot of dust in the litter but a fairly good product I think this litter has more dust than the scoopable litters I typically use when I would pour it into the litter box quite a cloud of dust came up.As for the litter itself I think it was pretty good. I think it controlled odors quite well and seemed to clump nicely for scooping. I used it in the rolling cat litter box and the clumps stay tight through the rolling and falling into the tray process.I think they could improve on the packaging. The top of the bag didn't open easily so I had a ragged torn edge which caught litter as I poured from the bag into the litter box. For the final pour to empty the bag quite a bit of litter fell every which way because of the ragged opening I had to pour through.
Very good litter This litter clumps pretty well most of the time obsorbs odors very well and somehow seems to last longer than other litters I have tried.My only complaint is that it does throw quite a good bit of dust when filling the litter box. I was a little spoiled I guess since the last bag of litter I bought here at Amazon had absolutely NO dust at all.It clumps well most of the time. Sometimes when I am scooping the box the clumps with urine break up and fall through the sifter while other clumps are hard and scoop right out without crumbling.I am not quite sure how or why but this bag has seemed to last me longer than I expected and longer than it really should have based on previous experience with my cats' litter box usage.I have 2 female cats who use the same litter box. The odor control with this litter is wonderful especially with it being an unscented litter. There are days I walk past the litter box and say to myself oops forgot to scoop it today but yet it has no odors at all. It is one of those things where if you don't smell it you kinda forget about it so since this litter works so well at odor control I have to make a point to remind myself to scoop it so that the kitties aren't literally walking into a mess in their box even though the odor is not present.Price 16 bucks is adequate for quantity and performance and I would recommend this litter as long as you don't mind the dust cloud.

Super Price for a Super Product with Free Shipping! This 50# box of kitty litter was just an awesome purchase!! It was delivered for free to my home all I had to do was carry it from the porch to the kitchen where I keep it and when I opened it I was in aroma heaven! It smelled delicious and my kitties loved it. If you want a litter that really works and there's NO odor whatsoever try this product. Cat Litter This product is very good and affordable. I am a first time cat owner and was afraid the litter will smell. I alsot bought the Roll'n Clean SelfCleaning litter Box Large for my kitty Ragdoll. This litter grain is fine almost like rice. The only bad part it absorbs A LOT or maybe my kitty pees too much not sure so when I roll the box to clean there is half a drawer full of clumps thus having to top off the litter box every other day. That sure keeps the room smelling fresh and clean.
Dosen't work in Littermaid automatic cat box The bag was shipped inside a cardboard box and when it arrived the catlitter bag had broke open. I was able to salvage the contents. We used it in a Littermaid automatic litterbox but this litter dosen't clump as well as other brands. It might be OK for other boxes but it didn't work for us.
Leaky bag This litter works fine but the bag was leaking all over the place when it arrived needs to be packaged better.
This is great litter. I have 11 cats long story and this litter totally takes care of the oder of so many cats. People come over and don't know I even have catsuntil they see them.I would have given this 5stars. My problem is with Amazon itself. Item at the time I purchased it was advertised as having FREE shipping with a $25 purchase. My order exceeded that as noted on the order screen and I had a gift card balance to cover my order. Amazon still requires credit card informations to pay for a ZERO balance.
Really poor odor control. I'm not used to using expensive litter my goto is the cheapest PetSmart option Precious Cat but this stuff is too cheapo for me. The smell is awful. I've been cleaning my cat's box every day and it still stinks up half the house. Plus the tracking issues aren't noticeably better or worse than with Precious Cat. As soon as I use this up I'm going back to my usual brand.

Cat Litter I've tried them alland I mean all. Thus far the ones I've tried always had one drawback whether it's too dusty that sweet nauseating scent cats didn't like it and on and on. This cat litter the Unscented Arm & Hammer product is excellent. No dust unscented good for cats clumps nicely and best of all the cats like itno more messes outside the box! I cannot rate this product high enough.
Arm & Hammer sells cement!? It all started when I pulled a muscle trying to shovel the globs of cement from my cats box I literally had to start cleaning the box completely after my cat had gone to the bathroom or else it would solidify into a giant chunk of rock. Then it hit me while I was laying my new tile down weebers layed down his business and I had some nice cheap grout on hand. I started to cry..and no it's not because it stinks like cat pee..
Only One for Asthmatic Cats Two of my cats and I both have asthma and I have allegies to all kinds of perfumed products. This is only the litter that works for all of us. In fact my cats no longer have to take prednisone or prednisolone damaging prescriptions to control their symptoms. Also in comparing it with several other kinds of litter used with my nonasthmatic cats this litter clumps tighter and uses less litter to do so is easier to scoop out and almost never falls apart. I appreciate Arm & Hammer for making this wonderful product. And Amazon often has competitive prices with the stores in my area.
Flushable! This litter clumps well but not so hard that it can't be flushed. If you keep the litter box in the bathroom it makes cleanup fast and easy. In addition the litter is not overly scented. It just smells clean. Highly recommended.
Wonderful cats LOVE it no asthma problems Does the job. With 3 cats and several litter boxes I sat one up with this particular variety of Arm & Hammer litter. Immediately which is unusual for my suspiciousofchange group all 3 cats switched to this one and won't use the other boxes available with other products. For me litterbox compliance is a HUGE factor! It looks more like dirt to me and maybe to the cats too??Both my own allergist I have asthma too and my vet have said for MY health to use a fragrancefree product. Vet said its better for cats too. Before now I used plain old clay litter. But this product clumps so much better and I do love that aspect. Urine clumps best if I wait 10 minutes or so before I try to scoop. Oh and I've always had best scooping results with a nonperforated spoon. Buy long handled ones from restaurant suppliers.Odor is not a problem even with 3 cats using same pan. That might be helped by scooping frequently everyday which is one of my retirement hobbies so it seems.Free shipping of the 28 lb boxes thru amazon has saved my husband's back. It's at our doorstep and he can use a handtruck to move it to the garage. We're happy.

Great litter This product clumps wonderfully and controls litter odor better than a lot of the other litter brands that I have used.
Disappointing I've tried three Arm & Hammer litter products & been disappointed in them all. This stuff neutralizes the odors well enough but does not clump well at all. I've often had to scrape mud out of the bottom of the box & my cats have had concrete boots way too frequently.
Clumps well fragrance free This litter clumps nicely and is easy to scoop. It's not too dusty and is fragrance free so it's great for people and cats with asthma or other sensitivities. I love that it's eligible for free super saver shipping since I could never lug a 28lb box home from the grocery store. I have 2 cats and one 28lb box lasts me a month.
Dont keep the litter box in the bathroom if you use this litter I have been using Arms n Hammer for 1.5 years without any problemBit expensive though. But when we changed apartments I shifted the litter box to the bathroom. Previously it was in the study.Then all the problems started. I am used to clean the box in the morning after everybody has finished using the bathroom. At that point the bathroom is very very humid and the litter absorbs water becomes a gooey mash. These unstable big clumps break when I try to scoop them and it is a total mess.I have tried to clean the box in the evenings when the bathroom is dry but still the litter is wet and clumped.So my advice is if you use this litter keep the box in a very dry place. Definitely not the bathroom.
