Junk The holes in this scoop are way too large they let everything through. I've tried using it multiple times and crap/sawdusty litter always falls through the holes. Also how does this thing cost $8.00 to ship?? What a ripoff. Stay away.
Put simply does not work. I do prefer the Feline Pine litter to the clay litters however it's been a real struggle looking for a scoop that works. This product was a nice idea in theory but in action does not work at all. The idea is to let the sawdust fall through without wasting the pine chips however the slots in this scoop are wide enough to let everything through. No bueno.
Works great with feline pine! I got this free cause of an offer on one of the bags but I would have paid for it if I had to. Works very well with the litter.
HOLES ARE TOO SMALL Holes are too small for feline pine to sift through the litter gets stuck in the holes!!A CHEAP ALTERNATIVE use a box cutter to cut out every other prong from the plastic litter scoop you already have. I have four scoops from the dollar store with every other plastic bit cut out and all of them work better than this scoop. I purchased this product because I thought it would look nicer or work better. I regret my vanity.If you want this product anyway check a pet store I only paid $4.
Disappointed I love using Feline Pine pellets for my three cats but hate wasting money on scoops with slots too narrow that the unused pellets cannot slip through. The Feline Pine scoop does not work for me as the pellets get stuck between the slots and I waste a lot of litter. I did see a litter organizer from Fresh Kitty that included a scoop with extra wide slots and bought it at Petco. You can also buy this online. This is the perfect scoop for my mulitple cat family that uses pellet type litter. I just wish I could find it at a local store again so that I can save on shipping charges. Petco has not had it in stock since my original purchase.
good This is a great sifter scoop for Feline Pine. I had a cheap scooper from the pet store and noticed that it collected feces on it and got all moldy and gross! This scoop does not do that and it sifts the unused pellets right back into your litter box. Feline Pine litter the official sifting box and this scoop are all really great. It's the best experience I've ever had dealing with a litter box! Plus it's much better for the environment my cat and my house! Cannot recommend Feline Pine stuff enough.

Use with Feline Pine I use this because it's basically the only one I've found that works with Feline Pine but be careful because it can break. Mine is broken a little but still usable. It is also annoying when you have to pick up very small pieces because you have to keep them at the very front of the scoop so they don't fall through and sometimes they do as I'm moving them. It is also not available at any retail store I've ever seen. If another wide slot scoop was available I might give it a try next time.
waste of money and pellets The price online was pretty low but S&H was so high. It all added up to more than $10 for tiny scoop. And it does not work for my kittens either practically everything falls thru including waste if middle part is used. or everything excluding dust from pellets stays in it . I ended up using corner of my old regular scoop. Product was useless for me.
Good for it's purpose if you must use feline pine. It works better than a normal scoop for sifting through the feline pine pellets but it does make it pretty difficult to pick up the smaller pieces of kitty poo causing me a lot of frustration and annoyance. Kind of the lesser of 2 evils to me.

I have tried them all and this earns the title MOST HORRIBLE CAT LITTER.It's not only terrible on odor control it also clumps poorly is dusty clumps fall apart and its a nightmare to clean afterwards. I also heard from a vet post purchase that its bad for your cats who can either breath in the unhealthy dust it is dusty or suffer horribly if the swallow even a small amount due to self cleaning. Bad for my cats and bad for me. DOUBLE BLECH!Back to Feline Pine and World's Best either of which are better than this garbage.
excellent litter After using regular storebought litter for years and having difficulty in keeping the smell down we tried this. I am amazed and very pleased at how well it controls the smell how well it clumps in solid chunks and how dustfee it is.It is not the fault of the manufacture of the litter but of the shipper. We ordered four 18lb bags and they were shipping in the most ridiculous way. They came in two huge boxes taken up mostly by yards of packing material. The boxes were torn and in poor condition. These small bags should have been shipped in smaller more sturdy cartons. Total waste of material and our time in disposing of all the boxes and packing material.These came from a vender called Wag. I'd definitely advise not ordering from them.

The BEST cat litterEVER! Before I start this review let me start by saying that I do NOT work for the company or anything like that. I am just a crazy cat lady that has a loving husband that is a just as crazy about them as I. All of our cats yes 7 CATS are rescue catswe have either gotten them from someone needing to give them to a good home they have come up to our door or we have taken ownership through adopting.We have 2 cats that have cystitis. If anyone knows about that it can be a real bummer when it comes to them needing to use the litter box. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't. Then we found that one of our cats has asthma. I started to do research on asthma and found that a lot of times litter and dust from the litter can wreak havoc on an asthmatic cat. Well in my search to find the PERFECT litter so that our little boy could breath better without having to take steroids constantly I came across some information that because a lot of litter has silica in it can actually CAUSE respiratory problems!! I have noticed in our other cats that they ALL have some sort of coughing or wheezing going on!! Now I know why!!!So there were several litters out there that were just soso. Then I came across this onewhen I was almost ready to give up! I swear it just popped onto the screen and I thought oh what's this one?? Cats do NOT like perfumey smells in their litter. They also do not like citrus smells. try taking an orange out and cutting it up and put it near the cathe'll RUN!oh this is also good to put in areas where they may sprayit will keep them from going back. Anyway that is one thing they don't like is for their litter box to have a scent. Therefore when this one popped up I took a look at all the reviews and wowmost of them were all 5's! The only real drawback was that it comes in a heavy bagbut whatever! It is SO worth it to know I have a healthier place for our kids to go to the bathroom.
as far as litter goes.. Its good stuff! so I have three Persian cats. Long hair floufy personalities you get the picture.. I have tried every cat litter I mean everything from natural pine to sheets scoop to tidy cat worlds best crystALs and beyond.here are my issues .. muddyness tracking smell.while most litters will accomplish one or two of those tasks usuAlly the third is unusually lacking.I purchased this litter after a nightlong search on forums again for the best cat litter and gave this a shot.the item was shipped quickly and free I'm sorry but amazon prime definitely beats lugging a bag of litter through the petsmart into the car and into the house!the texture is similar to tidy cats but has less of a smell actually it has very little fragrance. My favorite attribute to this litter Is the particle size being more consistent which meant less dust on their fuzzy coats and less tracking on my bathroom floor. My second favorite attribute is the clumping. Now all cat litter can clump but this stuff isolates the issue clumps and doesn't require a full litter change or a jackhammer to clean out. So many litters fall apart while scooping which turns into a muddy mess or they are so hard you have to take half the litter box with you to get it out. This stuff seems to cut right down the middle.the cats don't seem to have as many clingons when they walk out and they have a poop nugget stuck to their fur as usual I'm not sure why but I'm not complaining .overall it seems this litter with a dash of the scented baking soda the one made for litter boxes after scooping Results in a clean less tracked litter that is pretty easy to clean. Plus I love having my delivery guy worry about it and it just shows up at my door.
Did a side by side comparison I have 7 cats. Not long ago I went on a mission to find the best cat litter I could get my hands on. Based on high recommendations I bought a large bag of this and a large bag of Ever Clean Litter. I had two boxes going side by side to compare the two. This litter did clump decently but not as well as Ever Clean. The real difference was in one quality that is my biggest issue with cat litter tracking and scattering. This cat litter failed miserably in that regard when compared to the Ever Clean in the box next door to it. It was all over the place. Now each cat owner's circumstances and litter management system will affect how well a litter performs so let me explain our set up. We have 7 cats as I mentioned. We use the Litter Robot litter boxes. They are large globes that rotate after each use tumbling and sifting the cat litter before dumping clumps into a large drawer under the globe. Solid clumping is essential for this system to be optimally effective. We did see more crumbled clumps with this litter but not enough for that to be a deal breaker in and of itself. The crumbling of some clumps and the dispersal of the crumbs throughout the litter did contribute to the premature failure of the odor controlling capacity although this litter did control odor better when fresh out of the bag. The Ever Clean was able to control odor longer if not as well as Precious Cat from the gitgo.
The best I've found I have two kitties who have had problems in the past with allergies related to litter. One gets a rash I find a new litter she clears up then the other one starts to have problems. We've been on a seemingly endless cycle of different litters for years not to mention antihistamines for the kitties allergies.My search is at an end. This stuff is working great and so far after 6 weeks of use neither of the kitties is showing any signs of allergies.It is dustfree seriously I see NO dust at all when I pour it into the box it clumps better than any other brand I've used and it definitely reduces odors without covering them up with some other odor.
Clumping Disaster I don't know where all of the rave reviews are coming from. I bought this because my cat sitter suggested it. It may do a lot of things well but job 1 for me with a clumping cat litter is clumping. When this stuff gets wet it turns into supper glue at the bottom of the litter pan. It can't handle even modest amounts of liquid waste without oversaturating. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
No more sneezing! While the 40 lb. bag of Dr. Elsey's is a better bargain I prefer the 18 lb. bags as they are easier to lift and carry. I've been using this for awhile and forgot how dusty and heavily scented the Tidy Cats was when I recently ran out of Dr. Elsey's and bought Tidy Cats instead the sneezing started up again.PROSHardly any dust I stopped sneezing as well as my cats.Firm clumps that don't break apart when the cats are digging and burying their treasures.As inexpensive as storebrand litter since I buy it locally with no shipping.Easy to vacuum out of the carpeting.CON The 40 lb. bag is heavy and cumbersome. The 18 lb. bag is much easier to handle but costlier. When I get it home I pour it into a 5 gallon plastic bucket making it easier to handle.This would be perfect if it came in a jug and not a bag but it's still worthy of 5 stars.

Yes we had a couple of messes but I stuck with it and they're totally fine with it now.That said this stuff really does suppress odors. I usually try to scoop the box at least once a day but I do sometimes let it sit overnight. With my old litter I would start to get a whiff of the odor the next morning not so with this stuff.It's more expensive but it might be worth it in the long run. My cats have had allergy problems in the past with clay litters including unscented and even some allnatural nonclay litters. So far I've seen no signs of the usual allergy issues with this stuff. That alone will make this worth the expense. This is THE BEST cat litter We have tried everything from clay to pine to crystal litter. This is simply THE BEST and provides for TOTAL and COMPLETE odor control. We were reluctant to try it but now we are hooked. What an awesome product! When it came to scooping poop it did fine but as most of us know a child's sandbox sand can do that job. The urine does not clump. It soaks in and smells as if you are training a puppy. I ended up throwing the litter away after a few days.Don't waste your time or money on this product. Simply ok PaPurr litter is simply ok. It does clump somewhat although very loosely. It did prevent odor for a couple of days but after scooping the ammonia smell kept getting worse and worse. It also tracked easily. The best thing I can say about this litter is that it is not grain based I have a cat with a grain allergy and it is biodegradeable. I will continue my search for a better litter. I think I'm going to have to move onto trying another litter. About the only true pro I can say about it is that it is very light. However that means it tracks very easily. I could live with that though if it clumped well and hid smells. I don't think it does either well. The clumping ability is not good and I've never used a litter that did such a terrible job of masking odors. I could smell ammonia outside the room the litter box is in. Based on the reviews there's obviously people that like this litter but I can't suggest it. Great litter My cats and my sniffer both like this stuff. This is the best litter that I have ever used. I think it clumps very nicely and I noticed that my allergies don't act up when I clean it. I use scented arm and hammer baking soda with it to cut down on odors. My cats adjusted to it right away. As some reviewers pointed out it really does look like litter. I switched one of the boxes over a week ago just to make sure there were no problems. Both cats seemed to like it. One word of warning though be careful when you open the box. I sliced open the bag when I was opening the box. The litter bags are a little flimsy. Awesome! This Papurr is great for my cats! It has the texture of small granule clay excellent because my cats reject the pellet design of most newspaper litters AND it clumps!!! As far as the scent it is very mild smells like a slight whiff of baby powder. I like the fact that Paypurr uses Guar Gum for the clumping agent as this is a sticky plant product used in food for binding the ingredients in recipes it is completely edible and safe for cats. Cat Litter that Recycles Waste to Eliminate Waste I learned recently that PaPurr is manufactured from the stuff that paper mills usually throw away when they've made paper towels. That's fantastic! The folks at PaPurr take something that someone would usually just toss out and make something that our cats LOVE! It's so soft on their paws and THERE'S NO DUST!!!!!! If I'm not sneezing and wondering what's going into my lungs with this stuff and I'm six feet above the box I'm forced to believe the cat being right there at ground zero loves the fact he/she isn't breathing litter dust into his/her lungs.Added bonus an 18lb bag of PaPurr performs like a 30lb bag of clay litter. Good Product overall I had used this litter several years ago with our older cat when it was available locally and was happy with it. I now have two additional cats one of whom is kind of fussy about her litter doesn't like scented litters and have been doing sidebyside comparisons of different litters to see what she would like. I was happy when I found that the litter was available again and since the shipping was free it was worth ordering online. I like the fact that the litter is lighter weight it clumps pretty nicely and odor control is good. The rounded particle shape is particularly easy to sift through. Because the litter is light there is a little bit of kick out due to vigorous covering attempts I have standard open boxes but I'd say actual tracking was very low. The down side was that even though the litter isn't scented per se it does have that unique odor that most paper litters have. It's not really a bad smell but not terribly pleasant either. I have eight cats and 3 litter boxes. I've always been fastidious scooping the litter boxes at times scooping 3x a day. Visitors are always surpised to learn I have cats except when one cat conveniently decides to move his bowels as my guests are arriving!The World's Best Cat Litter does not produce dust. It clumps quite sufficientlyI use large slotted stainless steel spoons for scooping better than the plastic ones made for cat litter and the corn based litter will not stick to the box like cement nor damage my vacuum cleaner this is a huge plus as I use a Miele. On the downside the litter has an earthy smell that at times mimics the scent of a barn. Not offensive to me however I can see where some reviewers would find this odor repulsive. After 10 days at the vet's and $1000 later my precious angel was dead from an acute liver failure. I was devastated and bewildered at how this could happen. When my male started showing the same signs I rushed him to the vet and we again starting treating him aggressively for acute liver failure. After hours of research I learned that corn left in a high humidity and high temp climate can lead to the growth of an unbelievably deadly and carcingogenic toxin known as Aflatoxin. This toxin directly attacks the liver and almost always leads to death. My vet doesn't want to get involved and other responses from the company I have seen state that they do not take responsibility for this. After removing the litter from my home my male began to immediately improve and it looks like he may survive. I couldn't stand the smell. I would have given this product one star but I'm willing to admit that one of the things I don't like about it being flushable is simply my own personal choice. I tried this because I'm very particular about the litter box. I have 2 cats and I scoop our litter box twice a day and completely change it once a week. Best litter out there Since we have 5 cats and one of them is extremely picky about a clean litter box I've tried just about every kind of litter out there. This is the very best one I found. It clumps very hard so the clumps are easy to scoop without breaking up. It also is great for odor control. The cats also love it I tried it in one box first as an experiment and the cats ALL abandoned every other box in favor of that one.The only issue I have is that it throws up a lot of dust when you first put it in the box. Aside from that it's great. Zero Stars damages health This stuff is horrible. I ran out of my usual litter Costco and got this to fill in. Eeechhh! STINKS! Smells like someone broke a bottle of cheap perfume in the house. I know how sensitive cat noses are and I felt guilty even pouring a little in their box. They must have had to hold their breaths because I couldn't breath around this stuff. Second dust! Again between the strong perfume and dust this was a killer. I was gagging and sneezing trying to pour this. I have asthma so it litterally was killing me.Third and most important I ran across some blogs that warned about the dangers of clumping clay and silica litters. My youngest of my three cats is almost 10they've been using clumping clay all their lives. I lost one two years ago to severe respiratory problems and I never connected it to the litter. I can't prove it anyway.However my other cat developed a slight cough which he never did before so I took him in after Cujo died at age 7 I wait for nothing to take them to the vet. After an Xray is was determined that he his windpipes were so inflamed he was having trouble breathing. The vet told me to switch litters immediately. The benzonite silica in these clumping clay litters that causes the clumping is attracted to moisture and clumps immediately. When you or your cat breathe it it it attempts to clump your lungs my vet told me. Of course it's made worse with covered boxes I have the Booda dome. The damage is irreversible. Additionally the dust from these litters gets on your cat's fur and is licked off. This stuff eventually ends up in the gut where it does not move or dissolve but merely builds up to block digestion. And one more the clay must be strip mined and cannot be recycled or composted or flushedso back to the landfill it goes. I used to toss 23 pounds of clayclumped pee and poo daily with 34 cats. I switched to Feline Pine and now toss about 3 oz. of sawdust and poo daily. Big difference. If I had a garden I could compost it. Or flush it but I would advise anyone against flushing litter especially in CA goes straight to the ocean and there's some big movement about how flushable litters kill sea ottersbut that's another story. Good Kitty Litter That Works Well Recommended! Fresh Step Cat Litter works well at reducing the unpleasant scents from the litter box. It clumps as expected and holds together when being scooped out.The cats like it too which is important. The best litter. Period. After trying this product I don't mess around with anything else. It has eliminated all cat box odor completely! Even on those really hot humid days if you are a cat owner you KNOW what I am talking about. Good for odor but very DUSTY!! I tried this cat litter based on reviews I read online. I have 2 cats 2 litter boxes. My cats were new to my home and had used a clay type litter at the animal shelter. They accepted the Fresh Step easily. I tried the multicat version. The scented litter had a very strong perfume smell. Knowing that cat's noses are sensitive I started mixing it with the unscented Fresh Step. This was better. Not good for if you have young kittens I have been using this litter for several years and I love it. Hernia Inducing Cat Litter I used Fresh Step cat litter for many years and was quick to tell any of my cat owner friends that it was the best bang for the buck litter. It clumped hard making the chore of cleaning the cat box a relatively easy one. Sometime around 6 months ago that all changed. Now it forms a sludge in the cat box that is nearly impossible to scrape out. The amount of effort necessary to clean the box could easily induce a muscle strain or hernia for those unfortunate enough to purchase this litter. Interestingly after having this experience twice because I thought maybe I just got a bad batch the first time I turned to Scoop Away which I always considered to be a similarly good product only to find the exact same thing. What the heck? Turns out both products are made by the Clorox Pet products Co. My dog loves it I have a small dog I've trained to use a litter box. She's taken to it well. I've used this litter for years great stuff. Does the job as advertised. excellent clumping litter for your cat's everyday needs I used Fresh Step clay litter for quite a while but I decided to try this clumping litter when it was recently on sale at the store. This Fresh Step Premium clumping cat litter is excellent for your favorite kitty's litter box. The company states that it is very good at absorbing odorsand by golly it's TRUE! The odors are minimal at the very most and it is quite comfortable even for my rather sensitive cat. Moreover I really like how the litter has the capacity to absorb and prevent odor causing bacteria in the litter before my cat even uses his litter box.If you have more than one cat the manufacturer does recommend not surprisingly that you use more cat litter in the box. Otherwise if you have just one cat two or three inches worth of this cat litter spread about evenly throughout the empty litter box will do fine. You should change the entire litter box once a week on average. I change mine about twice a week just for my cat's comfort.It's also a good idea to scoop out any kitty remains every other day or so. If you can do it every day that's even better. Be very certain NOT to flush any kitty presents down the toilet as the manufacturer warns against this. I suppose it could clog toilet pipes. Moreover as you may suspect any kitty leftovers could have some nasty germs that we don't want so wash your hands really carefully after you clean the box or even after you just remove any kitty presents with a scooper.I recommend changing the entire litter box at least once a week. Clay litters are just that clay. Every time it got wet it stuck to Freddie's paws and then he'd track it all over the rug. This clumps up much better and it doesn't stick to his paws and an added benefit is the litter lasts much longer. And best of all it's flushable. As for insects I haven't noticed any but I'll be watchful. I would definitely recommend this litter. The urine smell is undetectable. I used about 5 pounds at first and it was a week before I had to add more to make up for what was lost due to clumping.The clumping action is awesome but that means you'll have to clear out the clumps once or twice a day. My cats would not use the box if there were clumps. As I was diligent they had no problem with the new litter after a few days.I bought the 17 pound bag and the exterior packaging was perfect. However the litter bag itself had a tiny hole that leaked little. A short piece of tape solved that problem. I will be ordering this regularly in the future. The Best We've Used Anyway I'm no connoisseur of cat litter but we've used a few brands and this is the best litter we've used so far. Unparalleled clumping there I said it and never thought I would say that phrase in this lifetime. But it's true. And the tracking is minimal to nonexistant. And add in a little 'good for the environment' and it works for me.Until we find a better one this iswait for it the cat's meow. Only litter my cats will use! We got 2 kittens who reportedly had neat litter habits. When we brought them home they would frequently go right outside the box on a paper or bag that had fallen usually with their help to the floor or anywhere but the box. We used wheat pine and clay litters with little success.Then we tried World's Best and our problems were pretty much solved. It is a bit smelly but mixing in some baking soda solves that problem and the urine clumps don't always hold together as well as you would like but it's good for the cats for the environment and for my carpet which no longer plays the role of giant litter box. It REALLY is the best My cat had litter box issues when he was a kitten so I have tried pretty much every litter on the market including traditional litters and natural litters. The traditional litters create dust smell bad usually stick to my cat's paws and are just not healthy to have arund the house. Some of the natural litters had some big problems. The old newspaper litter is a good idea but doesn't absorb anything including smell and is gross for the poop. I was really excited about the shaved wood litter but the clumping kind was very fine like sawdust and it got everywhere my cute tiny kitty would emerge from the litter box covered head to paw in the stuff after kicking it up buring his poop.This stuff is AMAZING. I am SO impressed. It doesn't smell at all covers odors amazingly well clumps so well that the urine doesn't seep all the way to the bottom. That is a HUGE advantage because it really does keep the litrer cleaner. It clumps into these neat tight balls too. Easy one scoop everytime even with the poop. It is light weight too. And it is all natural. THIS LITTER HAS IT ALL AND IT IS THE BEST LITTER EVER. World's best? Maybe if it's opposite day. I picked up some of this selfproclaimed world's best cat litter when my local shop was out of my favorite brand Premium Choice. It took less than 24 hours for me to realize that this litter was nowhere close to the best. In fact it's anything but.The best thing I can say about it is that it clumps well. Not perfect but good enough. 100% NOT dust free I have been using World's Best cat litter for about 12 months. While it works well for the first week it quickly degrades after that short time. The package states it should last for a month not true. After 2 weeks it will be extremely dusty and you will have a fine coating of dust on everything in the room. When filling the box you will also notice a large dust cloud just like clay litter billowing from the box. To me 99% dust free means virtually no dust this products claim is false.Pros1. Lightweight which makes it easy to change the box.2. Natural so it is better for your cat's health.3. Clumps fastCons1. Clumps break apart easily leaving small clumps throughout the litter box that you spend extra time picking out.2. Once a week or two have passed the smell is not pleasant. It smells like urine mixed with corn and vinegar. Because I didn't want to go back to clay litter I fabricated an activated carbon filter and attached it to the box to rid my entire house of the smell.3. Dust dust and more dust. My entire house would be coated with a fine coat of tan powder if it were not for the air filtration system I attached to the box. You will notice the dust when pouring in the litter definitely not dust free.I have recently switched to walnut based litter blue buffalo and it seems to be working better. Not one puff of dust when I poured 25lbs of it into my 36gal litter box. Yes I have enormous cats 18+ lbs and they do not fit in a large litter pan from the retail stores.Also I rated this product 2 stars due to the deceptive packaging 99% dust free. Read more...
