  • Ecofriendly but. I have been using this clumping litter under its old name Purr and Simple for several months now. Its odor control is good but it doesn't clump as hard as I would like. It clumps slightly better than Tidy Cat but definitely nowhere close to Dr. Elsey's. Because I like to scoop up the litter as soon as my cat finishes her business I have found that if I do that with this litter the clumps easily fall apart. I have to wait for at least half and hour before I can scoop the litter up without breaking it up. But Dr. Elsey's has no such issue at all.Furthermore I think it also requires more amount of litter for the same amount of urine. The clumps are always at least twice as big as when I used Dr.
I'm Sold! Finally a cat litter that actually does what it advertises! It is almost completely dustless very low tracking no odor a natural fragrance and clumps hard. I've tried wheat corn pine paper and clay litters. Most were dusty heavily tracking and/or had strong fragrances. I had almost given up hope of finding a litter that wasn't dusty and didn't track all over the house. My cats can now breathe easier and my house is litter dust free.
Natural and low tracking A little more pricey than the other natural litters but definitely worth the additional price. I've tried feline pine clumping Arm and Hammer Corn both of which were natural but because they were lighter than clay tended to track. This litter is heavier and the pellets are also bigger so they do not tend to stick to my cats feet. There is a smell but it's kind of a light musky/wood smell. The clumping is good and stays pretty firm. Low to no dust compared to the clay litters. I've tried scoop away and tidy cat and I think the walnut tracks less than those. This ones a keeper.
